EXPERIENCE
APSC 103 — Moon Autonomous Rover for Cargo (MARC) – Collaboration with Canadian Space Agency (CSA)
Queen’s University, Kingston ON
Jan 2026 – Apr 2026
- Designed and modeled a servo-actuated payload mechanism in Autodesk Fusion, featuring dual clamping arms and a 90-degree rotational platform to secure and transport cargo
- Set up and ran static stress simulations (FEA) on the cargo clamping mechanism in Autodesk Fusion, completing material assignments, load and constraint application, mesh generation, and results interpretation
- Achieved a minimum safety factor >4 and a maximum displacement of <2mm across the PLA structure during simulation
- Conducted a feasibility study and researched space-grade material alternatives, proposing Aluminum 7075 and flexible polymer alloys to withstand extreme lunar temperature swings (-200°C to 100°C) and UV radiation
